Fear is arguably the most effective emotion when trying to get a prospective buyer to take action. Fear at its core is one of the most instinctual emotions humans possess that triggers them into immediate action!

Fear has been used since the beginning of time by marketers to really push people into action to buy their product or service.
Even though it is extremely effective, the question is remains – is it morally okay? You have probably seen adverts on healthcare giving scary statistics and urging people to get tested at a private clinic. Is petrifying someone into taking action morally okay and secondly does this have a negative effect on your brand image?

In this video i give a few examples of where fear has been used to effectively create an action and also give my personal opinions as to whether or not I think it should be used!
